This course is for foster carers who are looking after a child with a different ethnic background, or who might do so in the future. It looks at the role ethnicity might play in a child's identity, and how you can honour, support and celebrate that part of them.

You will learn about:
- what ethnicity is, and how it might inform identity
- the importance of developing a strong sense of self in a foster child
- practical considerations, such as health, hair and skincare, food, clothing, religion and traditions
- how to challenge discrimination, racism and stereotyping
- how to celebrate diversity
